Dear Friends & Family,
I hope this message finds you safe and healthy at home as we all do our part to stop the spread of this virus and flatten the curve.
Our thoughts are with those who are sick and to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And, our gratitude goes out to the selfless healthcare workers, grocery clerks and delivery drivers around the world who are working tirelessly to care for people in need.
There is no other way to say it. Times are strange and surreal right now. We, at PhilDev, are focused on the health and safety of our employees, families and communities. We are taking the situation very seriously and exercising proper precautions. Our team is working from home and we have postponed all of our group activities and events.
As we navigate these uncharted waters, I am pleased to share some positive news. First, 2020 marks PhilDev’s ten year anniversary and, in that time, we are proud of the impact we have made through many programs we have implemented and partnerships we have formed. Follow our IG and FB as we highlight and share the milestones over the last 10 years. We are also looking forward to the next ten years and invite you to help us expand our initiatives.
Second, I am happy to announce some new additions and changes to our PhilDev Board of Trustees. PhilDev has been fortunate to have extremely passionate, committed and experienced individuals join our family. We look forward to their valuable input and insight as PhilDev enters its second decade to serve our community and country. We are truly thrilled to welcome Cris Liban, Don Lopez, Paolo Malabuyo, Christina Oriel and Randy Reyes as new USA board members. And, in the Philippines, we are pleased to announce new officers Paco Sandejas as Chairman, Eric Tomacruz as Vice-Chairman, Art Tan as Treasurer and Martin Pascual as Secretary.
While we hope to gather again in person soon, we are also adapting to the circumstances and exploring new ways to continue providing service, guidance, and learning to our scholars, faculty, and startups. And, if you have any ideas to share on how we can support you and our community, we welcome your ideas and feedback.
I encourage you to read our newsletter full of positive stories and our team looks forward to engaging with you, our community, soon. In the meantime, stay hopeful and healthy. We will get through this, together.
Take care of yourselves and of each other,
Angelina “Jonesy” Castro
