PhilDev is a non-profit organization that aims to eradicate poverty in the Philippines. We believe that we can achieve this by focusing on technology-based and social entrepreneurship-based education, innovation and entrepreneurship. We partner with government, academe, development agencies and the private sector to build strategies that address specific gaps in the ecosystem, in particular education, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
PhilDev is committed to protecting your rights and privacy and will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully. Your privacy is important to PhilDev (the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” throughout this document mean PhilDev). Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information.
When you access our website, we may provide information about us, as well as information regarding our programs, activities and services. In the course of using our website and social media accounts, we may collect your IP address and browser type.
We may collect, use and keep your comments and information made known to us via responses to surveys or any other communication via any media be it print, electronic, verbal or otherwise, with our employees, partners, and authorized representatives.

b) Information you enter in our website or other hardcopy forms at our event

We use the information collected, in accordance with this policy and our obligations under applicable data protection laws and regulations, to implement and provide programs, activities and services that you have availed of to:

b) Administer and confirm receipt of your donation and to say thank you and provide details of how your donation might be used;
c) Provide updates on services, activities or information you have indicated you want to receive or which you have asked for;
d) Respond to queries, requests and complaints;
e) Conduct studies and researches for the purpose of developing and improving our programs, activities and services;
f) Reach out to you for fundraising for our programs, activities, and services;
g) Determine the effectiveness of our social marketing and initiatives;
h) Keep a record of your relationship with us for our own internal administrative purposes;
i) Publish promotional materials for our campaigns, programs and activities, where your picture, videos or interviews with us may appear, where you have provided your consent;
j) Provide essential event information where you have signed up to attend;
k) Perform other such activities permitted by law and to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and requests from statutory agencies.

PhilDev has its office in the US and in the Philippines. We may need to disclose your information to another office in some circumstances. We will only share your details with another office in accordance with the data protection laws and regulations and where we have your consent to do so.
If you participate in or avail of any of our programs, activities and services, we may share your information with our donors, partners, affiliates and third parties under an obligation of confidentiality.
PhilDev may allow our staff, consultants and/or external providers acting on our behalf to access and use your information for the purposes for which you have provided to us (e.g. to use for research, to analyze data, to process your donation, to deliver email subscription), or for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We only provide them with the information they need to provide the relevant service, or applicable to their work, and we make sure your information is transferred securely.
We wish to assure you that we do not and will not sell your personal data to any third parties.
We will maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of your information by employing manual, technological and procedural safeguards. We train our employees to properly handle your information. Whenever we enter into partnership agreements, we require our partners to align with our security standards.
When you make a donation using our website, the online payment transactions will be encrypted. We utilize Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology when processing your donations, which encrypts data. Our website is also Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant, which ensures security and protection of sensitive client credit card information. We use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access.
In respecting your rights to privacy, you may opt to tell us:
a) Not to send you marketing/fundraising materials;
b) Not to share your information with our partners and donors;
c) To disclose your complete information subject to restrictions by certain laws and regulations;
